I was lucky enough to live walking distance to both the West Third St and the Studio City Joan’s at different points and the Chinese Chicken Salad was all ever ordered. (I would substitute grilled chicken for the friend and go lighter on the crunchies. It was JUST as good and not as unhealthy). It’s just such a perfect combination of flavors. I just tried making your version of the dressing and I must say- it’s pretty close! Can’t wait to make the entire salad!!

By the way- I believe what Joan’s uses is iceberg lettuce instead of wombok, but I doubt the flavor is much different- just the texture. Either way, thank you for posting this!! Now I need to find a close recipe to my husband’s favorite Joan’s dish- the tuna salad sandwich. :)
