I was SO super excited to be asked by Australian Macadamias to create this spectacular cake to celebrate their Facebook page hitting an awesome 20,000 likers! Being macadamia OBSESSED I had no problems coming up with the recipe literally within minutes…. ok, maybe about 30… but that’s still only “minutes”….

Anyway, below are some snaps from when I made the cake, hopefully they will assist those of you who want to give it a go! If you think the double layer cake is going to be too much, you can make just one layer and still decorate it in the fun and delicious way that I have in the pics.

In summary, the ‘extravaganza’ is a Macadamia and coconut cake with vanilla buttercream. The cake is filled and topped with plain roasted macadamias, white chocolate macadamia cookie crumble and white chocolate, coconut and macadamia bark.

So that’s 5 components; The cake, buttercream, cookie crumble, macadamia and coconut bark, and plain roasted macadamias.
