I nominate my other half, Andy, who is father to our very crazy 3-almost-4 year old. He does an amazing job of pretty much being the only sane person in our household!
I nominate my popa; Gordon McLaren as my dad passed away suddenly when I was a teenager & pop has been my rock ever since. He’s who I call when I need advice, something’s broken or just to have a cry. Even after we lost nan hes continued to be the glue in our family. He’s always there with a smile on his face, a nourishing meal & a hug. Though his stern ex-naval voice & old school sailor tattoos may intimidate some he’s really a big softie with a heart of gold. I hope to spend many more fathers days with him & the bottle of whiskey I get him every year xo
My lovely husband, Damien, deserves this treat. He travels for work and makes up for it 110% by being the most loving, generous and attentive dad for our son, when he’s home. He loves to BBQ for us so some Jamie Oliver tools would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
I nominate Matthew Taylor my hubby my hero since both our Dads passed away before Father’s day 10yrs and 1 yr ago. he has supported me through the loss of a baby, premature twins, breast cancer and then a malignant sarcoma in my leg . I couldn’t have done it without him by my side.
I nominate my father, Gavin, for serving his country in Vietnam and, more recently, overcoming cancer. He’s a huge inspiration to me, even if we don’t share the closest relationship.
This dessert is an absolute temptation. Oh so yummy!!
