Cheeky Monkey! The Fantabulous A’s 2nd Birthday Party! 6

My ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS nephew turned 2 last week! So yesterday my sister, the incredibly talented and some-time (ok, regular) Phoodie contributor, threw him a very sweet “Cheeky Monkey” party!

The theme was great for 2 reasons 1) It was (semi) original. I say semi as in she wasn’t the first one EVER to do it but it was a nice change from the standard Pirate, Power Ranger, Transformer, Dora, Train, Bob the Builder parties of late! And 2) Being the super duper cute and funny character that he is, it suited him to a T.

I have to take my hat off to my sister, not only is she extremely creative, she also has the ability to throw things together with minus 1 seconds notice and a minimum of fuss, and this get-together was a testament to that! Theme, food, decorations etc were chosen at the very last minute, then a small group of friends and family received an SMS telling them to come along and that was that!

In line with her quick ‘n’ simple approach, I shall also keep this post brief by uploading a few “iPhone pics” and some one liner descriptions.

‘BANANA’ FAIRY BREAD

White bread, buttered, cut into ‘banana’ shape, sprinkled with yellow glitter sugar, decorated with a chocolate chip and black sugar gel.

Gorgeous little monkeys, very very cheeky and cute as can be, (complete with tail!!!!) filled with loads of CHOCOLATAAAAA!!!! Regular readers will know my intense hate, well not hate, but dislike, for lolly bags that are low on the chocolate supply!!!!
