I love America.

Always have, always will.

I think I was definitely born a citizen of the U.S.A in a past life.

My late Grandmother was the same.

Nan, these “GIGANTIC AMERICAN, CHOCOLATE-DIPPED, PRETZEL-COATED MARSHMALLOWS” are for you!

INGREDIENTS

GIANT Marshmallows – however many you want

Dark Chocolate – allow about 20g per marshmallow

Sesame Pretzel sticks – allow 2 sticks per marshmallow – 1 for the “stick” and the second to be crushed and used as coating

METHOD

1) Make a hole with a thick skewer in the centre of each marshmallow pushing all the way down until JUST before you cut through the other end.

2) Take the skewer out and replace with pretzel stick.

3) Crush remaining pretzel sticks.

4) Melt chocolate in a pan on the stove over a low heat, stirring continuously.

5) Dip about half height of marshmallow into chocolate and then coat with crushed pretzels.

6) Place on non stick baking paper after you’ve done each one.

ENJOY!

Annnnnnnd I’d like to wish all of my PHABULOUS and LOYAL PHANS a very, very Healthy, Safe and Happy new year! Hey! I bought them from my local “gourmet grocer” – but have seen them in some large supermarkets too! You can make a version with normal sized marshmallows that look great too, just buy the really thin pretzel sticks so the proportions are right – the really thin ones are just a bit thicker than matchsticks!

Look fantastic! And may I just note as a mum of a girl with egg and dairy allergies – these are coincidentally free of common allergens! (As well as including favourite food groups in our house!)
