I’ve done this with food before…..eaten it every day for 1000 years, morning, noon and night, dreamt about it, created it, sourced it from a million and one places and……THEN GONE OFF IT FOR LIFE e.g. tinned asparagus and smoked salmon…..
I’ve actually even done it with Japanese food, although the ”gone off it for life” part is obviously incorrect as I am back onto it now, more obssessedly (is that a word?) than ever before.
I have had Japanese food 4 days in a row – Day 1: Lunch, Day 2: Dinner, Day 3: Dinner, then Lunch today. And I want more.
Thankfully we happen to live pretty close to some great Japanese restaurants, Maguro being one of them…
I’m tired so this’ll be quick…..so in summary:
Could their Sashimi be any fresher? NO
Could their chicken teriyaki be any more tender and flavoursome? NO
Could their Gyoza be any crunchier on the outside and soft in the middle? NO
Could the Tempura be any crispier? NO
Could the staff be any nicer? NO
Could the prices be any more reasonable? NO
Could the setting be any sweeter? NO
Will I eat there on a weekly basis for the rest of my time in London? YES
Hoorah! Hooray! Our new local is freakingggggggg awesssssome!!!!
