I have the Buon Ricordo cookbook that recipe appears in, and whilst I’m a huge fan of ANY cake with apples in it, I’ve never made this one. I may however, now be tempted to make it, given your huge rap
Hey MLTR! Make it Make it! SO haym! Have you been to BR?! DEFINITELY worth a visit if you haven’t….and even better than the apple cake is the signature entree dish – Fettuccine al tartufovo – Fettuccine with cream and parmesan, topped with a fried truffle egg. This dish is tossed together at the table in front of you and you actually howwwwwwl when you eat it!
I made a version of this a few years ago when I was still in Sydney and had all my gadgets. Is the luscious most gorgeous, cake you can ever serve, that makes people with gluten intolerances your best friend ever!
ahaha! Too true! I have never made it but eaten it at BR a trill times! Lovin’ your blog esp. the post on Borough Markets – when we lived in London I was there, eating my way through, once a week! :)
